AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEST COVINA FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY
TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL
• YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1959
The City Council of the City of Nest Covina, does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. The amount of money necessary to be raised by
taxation upon the taxable property within the City as a revenue
to carry on the various departments of such City for the current
fiscal year beginning July 1, 1959, and to pay the bonded or other
indebtedness of such City is hereby fixed as follows:
For the General Fund for the carrying on
of the various departments . . . . . . . . . . . $ 577,086.56
For the construction of facilities for
flood control . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 35,188.21
For the Capital Outlay Fund . . . . . . . . . . 35,188.21
For the Interest and Sinking Fund for
Improvement Bonds authorized at election
in 1951 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7, 011 _67 ,
Total . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 654, 474.65
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as re-
quired by law and the same shall be in full force and effect imme-
diately upon passage.

do hereby certify that the above Ordinance No. 635 was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 24th day of August, 1959. That, there-
after, said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at an adjourned
regular meeting of the City Council on the 31st day of August,
1959, by the following vote, to -wit:
