AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 143 NORTH BARRANCA STREET BETWEEN WORKMAN AND
GARVEY AVENUES. (F. W. Place)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following change of zone was duly initiated, that
notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and City
Council, and that the public convenience and necessity and the general
welfare require that the following change and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 325, passed and approved the
28th day of June, 1954, Ordinance No. 410, passed and approved the
8th day of August, 1955, and the Official Zoning Map referred to
therein, are hereby amended to change from its existing zone classi-
fication to Zone C-2 that certain real property in the City of West
Covina described as follows, to -wit:
That portion of Lot No. 8 in Block. 26 of the Phillips
Tract, in the City of West Covina, as per map recorded
in Book 9, pages 3 and 4 of Miscellaneous Records, in
the office of the County Recorder of said County, and
including a portion of Barranca Street, vacated by an
Order of the Board of Supervisors of said County,
recorded in Book 15145, page 149 of Official Records
of said County described as a whole as follows:
• Beginning at the northwest corner of the land described
in Deed to County of Los Angeles, recorded in Book 766,
Page 243 of Deeds, records of said County, said northwest
corner being distant westerly along the northerly line
of said Lot No. 8, A distance of 3 chains from the north-
east corner thereof; thence easterly along said northerly
line to its intersection with the westerly line -of the
land described in deed to County of Los Angeles, recorded
in Book 13072 page 328 of Official Records of said county;
thence southerly and southwesterly along said westerly
line to its intersection with the westerly line of the
land described in said deed to County of Los Angeles,
recorded in Book 766, page 243 of deeds; thence northerly
along said last mentioned westerly line to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
