AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA DISAPPROVING SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION
DISTRICT NO. 159.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find and determine
60 that the proposed annexation of certain uninhabited territory in the
vicinity of the intersection of Lark Ellen and Francisquito Avenues,
known as Southerly Annexation District No. 159, was duly initiated by
petition and was duly set for hearing on January 6, 1958, by Resolution
No. 1236, adopted November 25, 1957, that notice of said hearing was
.duly given and that said hearing was duly conducted, that at said hear-
ing a majority protest was not presented in accordance with Section
35313 of the Government Code, but that said annexation is not to the
best interests of the City of West Covina at this time and that said
annexation should be disapproved.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of West Covina
does hereby disapprove said Southerly Annexation District No. 159.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

meeting of the City Council on the 26th day of January 195n
