AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA ABANDONING AND TERMINATING ANNEXATION
NO. 157.
The City Council of the City of Test Covina does ordain as
f ollows :
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find and determine
that the proposed annexation of certain inhabited territory known as
";Annexation No. 157", the circulation of the petition for which was
approved by Resolution No. 1192, adopted on August 29, 1957, over-
lapped and conflicted with a prior annexation proceeding of the City
of La Puente, that the La Puente annexation proceedings have been
determined by the Superior Court of the State of California, in and
for the County of Los Angeles, in the case of Oxley, et al., v. City
of La Puente, et al., to have priority over said proceedings of the
City of West Covina, and that said proceedings in Annexation No. 157,
therefore, are invalid and void.
SECTION 2. For the reasons recited in Section 1 hereof,
said Annexation No. 157 and all proceedings in relation thereto are
hereby abandoned and terminated.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk.shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the loth day of November , 1958. That,
thereafter, said ordinance was my adoptedand assed at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 24th day of November 1958,
by the following vote, to -wit:
