AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON
THE WEST SIDE OF BARRANCA STREET, SOUTH OF WALNUT
CREEK WASH. (Pacific Development Co.)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following change of zone was duly initiated, that
notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that public
hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and City
Council, and that the public convenience and necessity and the general
welfare require that the following change and amendment be made.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 325, passed and approved the
28th day of June, 1954, Ordinance No. 410, passed and approved the
8th day of August, 1955, and the Official Zoning Map referred to therein,
are hereby amended to change from its existing zone classification to
Zone R-3 that certain real property in the City of West Covina des-
cribed as follows, to -wit:
That portion of Lots 74, 93, 94, 95 and 96 of Tract No.
930, in the City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, as per map recorded in Book 17,
Page 38 of Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder
of said County, within the following described lines:
Beginning at a point in the center line of Barranca Street,
as said street is shown 60 feet wide on the map of said
Tract, distant thereon south 00_25_1_14" west 355.04 feet
from the center line of Garvey Boulevard, as shown on
Arroyo Avenue, on the map of said Tract; thence north
870.16' 56" west 95.03 feet to the true point of -be ggin-
ning; thence continuing north 87" 16' 56" west 474.E+2
feet; thence south 00 25' 14" west 35.11 feet; thence
north 890 34' 55" west 100.00 feet; thence north 00 25'
14" east 39.14 feet; thence north 87° 16' 56" west
143.45 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave
southeasterly having a radius of 1055 feet; thence
southwesterly along said curve through a central angle
of 320 39' 19", an are distance of 601.29 feet to a
point in the northeasterly line of Tract No. 12292,
as per map recorded in Book. 288, page 1 of Maps, records
of said County; thence along the northeasterly line of
said Tract south 140 32' 00" east 200.81 feet and south
890 31' 13" east 246.14 feet to the northeasterly corner
of lot 14 6f said Tract No. 12292; thence south 890 33'
41" east 389.24 feet; thence south 89° 40' 47" east 670.13
feet, more or less,. to a point in the easterly line of
said lot 96; thence along said easterly line north 00 25'
14" east 59.31 feet; thence north 890 34' 46" west 20.00
feet; thence parallel with said easterly line of Lot 96,
north 00 25' 14" east 199.74 feet; thence north 0"
10' 05" west 27.81 feet; thence north 860 30' 07" west
5.50 feet; thence north 61* 31' 48" west-44.38 to the
true point of beginning.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
