ORDINANCE NO. 59Z
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON
THE SOUTH SIDE OF GARVEY AVENUE BETWEEN AZUSA AND
HOLLENBECK AVENUES. (City Initiated).
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
f ollows :
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following change of zone was duly initiated,
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that
public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission
and City Council, and that the public convenience and necessity and
the general welfare require that the following change and amendment
be made.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 325, passed and approved the
28th day of June, 1954, Ordinance No. 410, passed and approved the
8th day of August, 1955, and the Official Zoning Map referred to therein,
are hereby amended to change from its existing zone classification of
R-A Potential R-3 to Zone R-A that certain real property in the City
of West Covina described as follows, to -wit:
The following portions of Lots 2, 35 and 36, Tract No. 930
as recorded in Book 17 at pages 38 and 39 of Maps on file
in the Office of the County Recorder, County of Los
Angeles, State of California.
Commencing at the northwest corner of said Lot 2 thence
southerly along the westerly line of said Lot 2, 264.00
• feet to the true point bf beginning; thence continuing
southerly along said westerly line to the north line of
Lot 231, Tract No. 18811 as recorded in Book 483 at
pages 11, 12, 13 and 14 of said Maps; thence easterly
and northerly along the boundaries of said last mentioned
tract through its various courses to the northwest corner
of lot 261 of said last mentioned Tract being also the
northeast corner of Lot 36 of said Tract No. 930, thence
westerly along the northerly line of said last mentioned
tract to the northeast corner of said Lot 2, thence
southerly along the easterly line of said Lot 2, 264.00
feet to the point; thence westerly along a line parallel
to the true point of beginning, and generally located on
the south side of Garvey Avenue, between Azusa Avenue
and Hollenbeck.Street, in the City of West Covina, Cali-
fornia.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
