ORDINANCE NO. 581
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 554 RELATING
TO THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE BY REQUIRING THE
PRESENTATION OF A LIST OF.ALL CONTRACTORS AND
SUBCONTRACTORS.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 554, passed and approved on the 25th
day of November, 1957, is hereby amended by the addition thereto of a
new Section 6.1 reading as follows:
"SECTION 6.1. Sec. 301 of said Building Code is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of a new subsection (f) reading
as follows:
1(f) List of Contractors. With each application for
a building permit the app cant shall submit a true and
correct list of the names and addresses of all contractors
and subcontractors expected to do any work upon the pro-
posed building or structure.'"
SECTION 2. Said Ordinance No. 554 is hereby amended by the
addition thereto of a new Section 6.2 reading as follows:
"SECTION 6.2. Sec. 306 of said Building Code is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of a new subsection (f) reading
as follows:
'(f) Written Application. List of Contractors. Appli-
cation for-T TMa inspection shall be made in wr ng upon a
form issued and/or approved by the Building Department and
which sets forth the names and addresses of all contractors
and subcontractors who worked upon any part of the building
or structure. The building official shall not make the
final inspection until such written application therefor shall
have been filed with the Building Department.!"
SECTION 3, The.City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
