AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY ON THE
NORTH SIDE OF GARVEY AVENUE BETWEEN BARRANCA
STREET AND GRAND AVENUE (Vincent P. Schilz)
The City Council of the City of Wiest Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that the following change of zone was duly -initiated,
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that
public hearings.thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission
and City Council, and that the public convenience and necessity and
the general welfare require that the following changes and amendments
be made.
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 325, passed and approved the
28th day of June, 1954, Ordinance No. 410, passed and approved the
8th day of August, 1955, and the official Zoning Map referred to therein,
are hereby amended to change from its existing zone classification to
Zone R-3 that certain real property described as follows, to -wit:
Portion of Lot 1 and 8, in Block, 25, of the
Phillips Tract, in the Rancho La Puente, in
the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as per map recorded in Book 9, pages 3 and 4
of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the
County Recorder of said County, and that portion
of the Rancho La Puente lying between the East
line of said Lots 1 and 8 and the line of Range
Street, as shown on said map, and that portion of
Range Avenue formerly Range Street, as shown on
said map, vacated by an order of the Board of
Supervisors, recorded in Book 4775, Page 50 of
Official Records, in the County of Los ;Angeles,
State of California, bounded as follows:
On the north by certain Los Angeles County Flood
Control "Right of lviay" as shown on said County
Surveyor's Map No. B-430, Sheet 1. On the West
by the Westerly line of said Lot 8; on the South
by the Northerly line of Garvey Avenue known as
San Bernardino Freeway right of way; and on the
East by the easterly line of Range Avenue formerly
Range"Street, as shown on said map of the Phillips
Tract.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
