AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVIN.A FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF REGULAR
MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 502, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NOS. 1 AND 236.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. There shall be two regular meetings of the City
Council during each calendar month and such meetings shall be held
on the second and fourth Mondays thereof at the hour of 7:30 P.M.,
• provided, however, that if the date of any such regular meeting falls
on a holiday, said regular meeting shall be held at the hour of 7:30
P.M., on the next succeeding day which is not a holiday.
SECTION 2. The meeting place of the City Council shall
be in the Council Chambers in the City Hall located at 1444 West Garvey
Boulevard in the City of West Covina.

SECTION 3. Section 1.5 of Ordinance No. 502, adopted the
22nd day of October, 1956, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 1.5. Order of Business - Suspending - Disposition.
All meetings of the Council shall be open to the public in
accordance with the applicable provisions of the Government
Code except executive sessions relating to personnel matters
only. Promptly -at the hour set by law on the day of each
regular meeting, the members of the Council, the City Clerk,
City Attorney and City Manager shall take their regular places
in the Council Chambers, and the business of the Council shall
be taken up for consideration and disposition in the following
order:

"The regular order of business -may be suspended by a
majority vote of the members present. All business brought
before the Council shall be promptly attended to, provided
that upon the request of any member of the Council, the
same may, with the consent of the City Council, be referred

to the proper official, or to a committee of the Council
appointed by the Mayor, for investigation before any action
shall be taken thereon by the Council as a whole."
SECTION 4. Ordinance No. 1, adopted March 28, 1923, and
Ordinance No. 236, adopted January 14, 1953, are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
