ORDINANCE NO. 543
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA.FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES AND LEVYING TAXES FOR
THE.FISCAL.YEAR BEGINNING.JULY 1, 1957.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That for the purpose of raising the sums of money
necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property of the City of
West Covina as a revenue to carry on the various departments of said City
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1957, the rates of taxes for the City
of West Covina are hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on all taxable
property in the said City for the fiscal year,b.e'ginning July 1, 1957 in the
number of cents upon each One Hundred Dollars of the assessed value of said
property as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, and with respect to certain property
as assessed by the State Board of Equalization and equalized by said Board,
and for the several funds.and purposes set forth in the following table, the
taxes levied upon property in all of said City.

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and, shall cause the same to be published as required by law and the
same shall be in full force and.effect.immediately ppon passage.

certify that the above Ordinance No. 543 was regularly introduced and placed
upon its first reading at a special meeting of the City Council on the 24th
day of August, 1957. That, thereafter, said ordinance was duly adopted and
passed at an adjourned,adjourned regular meeting of the City Council on the
30th day of August, 1957, by the following vote, to wit:
