AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA
FIXING -THE AMOUNT. OF MONEY NECESSARY_TO BE_RAISED BY TAXATION
FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING.JULY 1,.1957.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The Amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation
upon the taxable property within the City as a revenue to carry on the various
departments of said City for the current fiscal year beginning July 1, 1957,
and to pay the bonded or other indebtedness of gaid City is hereby fixed as
follows:
• For the General Fund for the carrying on
of the various departments . $446,869.68
For the construction of facilities for
flood control . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 26,930.21
For the Interest and Sinking Fund for
Improvement Bonds authorized at election
in 1951 . 0-0 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . -0-
TOTAL . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $4732799.89
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and'shall cause the same to be published as required by law and the
same shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage.

I, ROBERT FLOTTEN, City Clerk of the City of West Covina, do hereby
certify that the above Ordinance No. 542 was regularly introduced and placed
upon its first reading at a special meeting of the City Council on the 24th
day of August 1957. That, thereafter, said ordinance was duly adopted and
passed at an adjourned adjourned regular meeting of the City Council on the
