• AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AMENDING SECTION 230 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 325.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find and determine
that the following amendment of the zoning ordinance, Ordinance No. 325,
was duly initiated, that notice of hearing thereon has been duly given
and published, that public hearings thereon were duly held by the Plan-
ning Commission and by the City Council and that the public convenience
• and necessity and the general welfare require that the following amend-
ment be made.
SECTION 2. Section 230 of Ordinance No. 325, passed and
approved the 28th day of June, 1954, be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"SECTION 230: FILLING STATION. 'Filling Station' shall
mean a service station to supply motor fuel and oil to motor vehicles
and including grease rack or elevators and providing minor tire
and battery servicing, wheel balancing, minor ignition and carburetor
servicing, minor motor tune-up, headlamp and brake adjusting, instal-
lation of brake parts and accessories, hand washing of automobiles
where an area of not more than 500 square feet is so used and sales
of motor vehicle accessories, provided that no garage, mechanical
repair not mentioned herein, battery repair, tire rebuilding, paint-
ing, body work, steam cleaning or radiator repair shall be permitted
in conjunction with such service station."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
