AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA DISAPPROVING NORTHERLY ANNEXATION
NO..149.
The'City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as
follows
SECTION 1. The. City Council does hereby.find, determine
and declare that the proposed annexation of certain uninhabited terri-
tory on the east side of Irwindale Avenue from -San Bernardino Road
north to the Pacific Electric Railway and on the west side of Irwindale
•Avenue from San Bernardino Road south to the north City Limits of West
Covina, known.as Northerly Annexation No. 149, was duly initiated and
was duly set for -,hearing on"January'28, 1957,'by Resolution No. 1033,
notice of which was duly giveri, and that'said hearing was duly con-
tinued to March 11, 1957'; that at said hearing a majority protest was
not presented in accordance with Section 35313 of the Government Code,
but that the said annexation is not to the best interests of the City
of West Covina at this time and that said annexation should be dis-
approved.
SECTION 2. The City Council -of the City of West Covina
does hereby disapprove -the said Northerly Annexation No. 149.
SECTION.3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same-ds required by law.
