Ordinance - 516ORDINANCE NO.516 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA9 CALIFORNIA, RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN SAID CITY LOCATED ON THE NORTHEEST CORNER.OF SERVICE AND VALINDA.AVENUES FROM ZONE R-A, POTENTIAL C-1 TO ZONE R-A, POTENTIAL R-P, UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF.ORDINA NCE NO.147.- THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after duly advertised public hearings by and before the City Planning Commission and the City Council, • as required by law, Ordinance No.147 of the City of West Covina, entitled 'BAN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ZONES IN THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, AND THEREIN REGULATING THE USE OF LAND, HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS AND YARD SPACES; ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID ZONES; DEFINING THE TERMS USED IN THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR ITS ADJUSTMENT, AXENDMENT AND ENFORCEMENT; PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS AND REPEALING ORDINANCES ,OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITHI", adopted February 5, 1948, as amended, and the Zoning Nap therein referred to, be and the same are hereby amended by adding thereto, as a part of the zoning map of the City of 'West Covina the following: The easterly 140 feet of that portion of Lot 195 of E. J. Baldwin's Subdivision of a portion of . Rancho La . Puente - in the City of 'West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 12, Pages 134 and 135 of Maps described as. follows: Beginning at the southeasterly corner of said Lot 195, thence along the easterly line of said Lot, north 00 391 5011 East 171.53 feet; thence parallel with the southerly line of said Lot north 890 181 1011 West 239.60i feet; thence para- llel with the easterly line South 0° 39, 50" West 171.53 feet to the southerly line of said Lot.195; thence along the southerly line of said Lot South 890 18' 10" East 239.60 feet to the point of beginning , -1- • • be and the same is hereby excepted from the particular zone in which such real property has otherwise been placed and designated by the provisions of this Ordinance, as amended, and all such property and territory is hereby reclassified from Zone R-A, Potential C-1, in accordance with the provisions of said Ordinance No.1471 as amended, so as to establish the same as a part of Zone R-A , Potential R-P`, said Zoning Map being hereby amended to conform to the foregoing reclassification. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published once in the West Covina Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of West Covina, and thirty (30) days from and after the final passage thereof said Ordinance shall take effect and be in force.
