CALIFORNIA, RECLASSIFYING.CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN SAID ID CITY
FROM ZONE. RrA 3, POTENTIAL C-1 .1 TO. ZONE R -Av POTENTIAL R 39 UNDER
THE PROVISIONS OF.ORDINANCE NO.147 (Garvey between_

Merced),.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after duly advertised public hearings
as required by law ordinance No.147 of the City of 'West Covina,
• entitled "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ZONES IN THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
AND THEREIN REGULATING THE USE OF LAND, HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS AND YA�,ttD
SPACES; ADOPTING A MAP.SHOWING THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID ZONES; DEFINING
THE TERMS USED IN THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR ITS ADJUSTMENT,

AMENDMENT AND ENFORCEMENT; PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS AND
REPEALING ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLIC T THEREWITH",
adopted February 5, 1948, as amended, and the Zoning Map' therein
referred toq�be and the same are hereby amended by adding thereto,
as a part of the zoning map of the City of West Covina, the following:
All Vhat property within Tract No.11231 as
recorded in Book 198 at -page 50 of maps in the
office of the County Recorder, County of Los
'Angelesq State of California, and Tract No.11502
as recorded in Book 234 at pages 37 and 38 of
said maps, which property is shown on the official
zoning map of the City of West Covina, adopted
by Ordinance No.410, August 8. 1955, as being
classified R-A (Residential-Agricultural),PotentiaI
C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial), and which.property
is generally located on the south side of Garvey
Avenue, between Orange and MercedAvenues,in the
City of West Covina
be and the same is hereby excepted from the particular zone in which
such real property has otherwise been placed and designated by the
provisions of this Ordinance, as amended, and all such property and

territory is hereby reclassified from Zone R-A, Potential C-1,
in accordance with the provisions of said Ordinance No.147, as
amended, so as to establish the same as a part of Zone R-A,
Potential R-3, said Zoning Map being hereby amended to conform
to the foregoing reclassification.
SECTIOON 2. The City Clerk shall certify t-o the adoption
of this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15)
days from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published
once in the West Covina Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation
published and circulated in the City of West Covina, and thirty
(30) days from and after. the final passage thereof said Ordinance
shall take effect and be in force.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of West Covina,
held on the 10th day of December, 1956, by the affirmative vote of
at least three councilmen, to wit:
