AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA , VA CA TI NG CERTAIN EA S 12K NT S HERETOFORE GRANTED TO
SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IKEST COVINA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. -MEREAS, certain easements .were heretofore given
and granted to the City of Test Covina, a municipal corporation,
for public highway purposes, over the following described property
• in the City of ;Vest Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, to wit:
That portion of Elgenia Street extending Westerly
from the West line of Lark Ellen Avenue, to a point
598.42 feet, more or less, measured along the center
line; and that portion of Grove Center Street, extend-
ing Westerly from the West line of Lark Ellen Avenue,
to a point 598.22 feet, more or less, measured along
the center line, as shown on map of Tract No.18818
recorded in Boob 543 of Haps, pages 23 and 24, records
in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County
IfflEREAS, this Council hereby finds and determines that said
easements have not been used in whole or in part since the date
they were acquired by the City, and that said easements are unnecessary
for present or prospective public use:
NOW, THEI.EFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEST COVINA

DOES ORDAIN
that the aforesaid easements be
and
the same
are hereby
vacated and
abandoned, upon motion of said
City
Council,
said ease-
ments not having been used at any time in whole or in part since
the date they were acquired and said easements being unnecessary
for present or prospective public use.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk be and he is hereby empowered
and authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Nest Covina

quit -claim deed covering the above mentioned easements, and
said City Clerk shall cause such executed quit -claim deed and a
certified copy of this Ordinance and order, attested by him
under seal, to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los
Angeles County, beinga'the County within which the land hereto-
fore described'is located.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published
once in the`West Covina Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation
published and circulated in the City of blest Covina, and thirty
(30) days from and after the final passage thereof said Ordinance
shall take effect and be in force.
