Ordinance - 484IV ORDINANCE NO.484 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO.171 REGULATING THE LICENSING OF -DOGS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Section__2 of Ordinance N0.171 of the City of West Covina, entitled "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE LICENSING OF DOGS, r°UZZLING AND RESTRAINT OF :DOGS AT CERTAIN TIMES,VACCINATION OF DOGS, PROVIDING FOR THE CONTROL AND ERADICATION OF RABIES IN THE CITY OF WEST COVINA", adopted June 22, 1949, be and the same is i hereby amended so as to read as follows: ItSection 2. Every person, association or corporation owning or harboring a dog within the corporate limits of the City of West Covina, California, shall pay to the Chief of Police an annual license fee of Three Dollars ($3.00). Provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply to a dog which has been trained and is qualified to act as a guide for the - blind." SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published once in the West Covina Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of West Covina, and thirty (30) days from and after the passage thereof said Ordinance shall take effect and • be in force.
