AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA9
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.147 OF THE CITY OF -WEST COVINA
AND THE ZONING MAP THEREUNDER SO AS TO RE -ZONE CERTAIN PROPERTIES
IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. 1HEREAS, Ordinance N0.147 of the City .of
West Covina, known as the Zoning Ordinance, classifies certain
properties described
as follows:

• as Zone R-A, with potential residential classifications as shown
and indicated upon the Zoning Map adopted thereunder and as defined
by the provisions of said Ordinance No.147;.and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did on June 6,1956,
conduct duly advertised public hearings as prescribed by law and
duly considered the amendment of said Ordinance and Zoning Map by
the reclassification of said properties into Zone R-1 (One Family
Zone) and the reclassification of the several properties particularly

described in Ordinances Nos.412, 414, 415, 417, 4209 423, 425,
427,4289429,430, 4319 435, 4399 440, 441, 442, 443, 445, 4469
448, 450=9 4527 4539 454, 4579 4607 468 and 469 of the City of
West Covina, heretofore adopted, as in said Ordinance No.147
defined; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No.388 the said Planning Com-
mission on June 6, 1956, approved such amendments and recommended
• to the City Council the adoption thereof; and
iIHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina
did on July 9, 1956, hold and conduct a duly advertised public
hearing as prescribed by law and considered said amendments thereat
and duly adopted said recommendations of the City Planning Commission:
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West
Covina does ordain as follows:
That Ordinance No.147 of the City of West Covina, known
as the Zoning Ordinance, adopted January 21, 1948, as amended,
and the Zoning Map adopted thereby, be and the same are hereby
amended by changing the zoning heretofore applied to the several
properties hereinabove described and enumerated and all properties
included in said Tracts are hereby reclassified and established
• as a part of Zone R-19 and all properties described in said
Ordinances as aforesaid are hereby reclassified in accordance with
the provisions of said Ordinances, and the Zoning Map shall be
amended so as to indicate thereon that all such real.proper•ty and
territory has been hereby rezoned as in this Ordinance provided.

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration of
fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof, shall cause the
same to be published once in the West Covina Tribune, a news-
paper of general circulation published and circulated in the
City of West Covina, and thirty (30) days from and after the
• passage thereof said Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
'West Covina, held on the 13th day of August, 1956, by the
affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
