AN ORDINANCE OF'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, FIXING,THE.,AXOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO.BE-_RAISED BY
TAXATION . UPON THE .TAXABLE., FRQPERTY THEREIN .AS REVbtE'- TO CARRY. ON
THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS-OFSAID CITY_FOR�THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR
1954-1955 AND TO PAY THE'BONDED AND OTHER, INDEBTEDNESS.THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE'CITY OF WEST COVINA "DOES ORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of West
Covina, State of- California, does hereby fix the -amount --of money
at the sum: of One Hundred Twelve Thousand Five Hundre& Ninety-two
and 37/100 Dollars ($112,592.37) necessary 'to be raised by taxation
upon the taxable property in said City of West- Covina as revenue
to carry on the various departments of said City -for -the current
fiscal year -beginning July 1, 19541 and to pay for the bonded and
other indebtedness of such municipal corporation for said fiscal
year.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of.the City of West Covina shall
certify to the passage of this Ordinance and the same shall be
posted as provided by law. This Ordinance, inasmuch as it provides
for a tax levy for the usual current expense of the City of West
Covina, under the provisions of Section 1 of Article IV of the
Constitution, and the provisions of Section 36937 of the Government
Code of the State of California, shall take effect immediately.
