THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI-M CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES O:DAIN.AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No,252 of the City of
West Covina, entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY .COUNCIL OF TIME
0 CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ;ADOPTING .A BUILDING CODE, AN
ELECTRICAL CODE.AND A PLUMBING CODE", adopted June 8, 19539 be
and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section
to be known as and numbered Section 4-A and to read as follows:
SECTION 4-A. That there is hereby established
a Safety Committee which shall consist of the
City Administrator, Chief of the Fire Department,
City Engineer, Building Inspector and one member
of the City Council (the latter to be designated
by the City Council) and which shall meet from
time to time either upon the request of the Building
Inspector or as required by the City Council in
order to assist the Building Inspector in any matter
• involving the interpretation or application of any
of the provisions of the several codes hereby
adopted for use in the City of West Covina. if
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No.87 of the City of West
Covina, adopted January 8, 1941, Ordinance No.150, adopted Larch
17,1948, and Ordinance No.155, adopted, May 26, 1948, be and the
same are hereby repealed.

SECTION 36 The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15)
days from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be posted
with the names of the members voting for and against the same,
in three places within the City, in the manner required by the
laws and ordinances of the City of West Covina, and thirty* (30)
days from and after the passage thereof said Ordinance shall take
effect and be in force.,
