ORDINANCE NO.271
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCES NOS.206 AND 254 OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, PROVIDING FOR MINIMUM LOT AREAS, FRONTAGES AND DEPTHS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1, That Section 3 of Ordinance No.206 of the City cf
West Covina, entitled "An Ordinance providing for minimum lot size,
minimum lot frontage, and minimum lot depth", adopted December 27,
1950, be and the same is hereby amended to provide that in A Zone I (3)
the words and figures "nine hundred (900) square feet" shall be amended
and changed to and shall read "nine hundred fifty (950) square feet",
and to provide that in B-Zone II (3) the words and figures "one thousand
fifty (1050) square feet" shall be amended and changed to and shall
read "eleven hundred (1100) square feet".
SECTION 2, That Section 3 of Ordinance No.254 of the City of
West Covina, entitled "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City
of West Covina, California, amending Ordinance No.205 and Ordinance
No,206 of the City of West Covina, providing for minimum lot areas,
frontages and depths", adopted June 8, 1953, be amended by the addition
to the area of land described in said section the following, to -wit:
"and the area in said City bounded on the south
-by the present City boundary line, on the north
by the Walnut Creek Wash, on the west by a line
located one lot depth west of Lark Ellen Avenue
and on the east by the property hereinbefore in
this section delineated and described".
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of West Covina shall
certify to the adoption 'of this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration
of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof, shall cause the same
to be posted with the names of the members voting for and against
the same, in three places within the City, in the manner required by

the laws and ordinances in the City of West Covina, and thirty (30)
days from and after the passage thereof said Ordinance shall take
effect and be in force.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of West Covina,held
on the 14th day of September, 1953, by the affirmative vote of at
least three Councilmen, to wit:

to wit: One at the Police Office, 1444 West Garvey Boulevard, one
in front of the West Covina School House and one at the northwest
