ORDINANCE NO.266
AN ORDINANCE OF' THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, AIMM ING ORDINANCE NO.142 OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
KNOWN AS THE BUSINESS LICENSE ORDINANCE, BY ADDING THERETO A NEW
SUBSECTION TO BE KNOWN AS AND NUMBERED SECTION 28 (62).
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No.142 of the City of West
Covina, entitled "ANT ORDINANCE OF' THE CITY OF WEST COVINA PROVIDING
FOR THE LICENSING OF WHOLESALE AND RETAIL BUSINESS, TRADES, AND
OCCUPATIONS CARRIED ON IN SAID CITY AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH", adopted June 1947, be and the same is hereby
amended by adding thereto a new subsection to be known as and
numbered Section 28 (62), and to read as follows:
" SECTION 28 (62). EGG DEALER. For every person
conducting or carrying on the business of selling
eggs on the public streets or from wagons or other
vehicles, or otherwise engaged as a distributor or
vendor of eggs, the sum of $15.00 for the first
two weeks or fraction thereof, after application
for said license and the sum of $12.00 per annum
thereafter."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be posted with
the names of the members voting for and against the same, in three
places within the City, in the manner required by the laws and
ordinances in the City of West Covina, and thirty (30) days from and
after the passage thereof said Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force.

at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of West Covina,
held on the 10th day of August, 1953, by the affirmative vote of

ROBERT FLOTTEN, being by me first duly sworn, deposes and says:
That he is the City Clerk of the City of West Covina,California,
a citizen of the United States, and over the age of 21 years; that
on the 111114 day of August, 19539 he posted three copies of Ordinance
No.266 the City of West Covina, entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, 94ENDING ORDINANCE
NO.142 OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, KNOWN AS THE BUSINESS LICENSE
ORDINANCE, BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SUBSECTION TO BE KNOWN AS AND
NUMBERED SECTION 28 (62)11, in three public places in said City, to wit:
One at the Police Office, 1444 West Garvey Boulevard, one in front
of the West Covina School IIouse, and one at the northwest corner of
. Puente Street and Lark Ellen Boulevard.
