AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST CbVINA FIXING
THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE
TAXABLE PROPERTY -THEREIN AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DE-
PARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR 195271953.AND
TO PAY THE BONDED .AND OTHER INDEBTEDNESS THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1, That the City Council of the City of West Covina,
State of California;- does hereby fix the amount of money at the
sum of Thirty-one Thousand Three Hundred Fifty -Five and 00/100
Dollars ($31,355.00) ne%,essary to be raised by taxation upon the
taxable property in said City of West Covina as revenue to carry
on the various Departments of said City for the Current fiscal year
beginning July 1, 1952, and to pay for the bonded and other indebt-
edness of such municipal corporation for said fiscal year.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of West Covina shall•
certify to the .passage of this Ordinance and the same shall be
posted as provi'fied-by law. This Ordinance, inasmuch as it pro-
. r;.
vides for a tax"levy for the usual current expenses of the City
of West Covina, under the provisions of Section 1 of Article IV
of the Constitution, and*the provisions of Section 36937 of the
• Government Code, of the State of California. -:shall take effect im-
mediat-ely.

Ordinance No. 1,'v1 of the City of West Covina entitled "AN ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA ESTABLISHING THE TAX RATE AND DETERMIN-
ING THE AMOUNT REQUIRED TO PAY THE COST AND EXPENSE OF MAINTAINING
SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1952-1953" in three public places in
said City to wit: One at the City Hall, 1444 West Garvey Boulevard,
one in front of the West Covina School House and one at the North-
west corner of Puente Street and Lark E e Boulevar .
