AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,.ORDER-
ING HE VACATION AND ABAhIDOM ENT OF A CERTAIN STREET KNOWN AS
SLEEPYHOLLOW STREET AND A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN STREET KNOWN AS
MOCKINGBIRD LANE IN TRACT NO. 16755, AS SHOWN ON TIM-� RECGRDED IN
BOOK 4269 PAGES 38 AND 39 OF MAPS, RECORDS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY,
IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require,
and the City Council of the City of West Covina, in pursuance of the
provisions of ?esolution of Intention No. 318, adopted and approved
February 27, 1952, after a public hearing and upon a finding that the
hereinafter designated public streets or portions of streets in Tract
No. 16755 in said City, as shown on map recorded in Book 426, pages
38 and 39 of Maps, records in the office of the County Recorder of
Los Angeles County, State of California, and being all that certain
street known and designated as Sleepyhollow Street and the southerly
130.02 feet of that certain public street known and designated as
Mockingbird Lane, in said tract in the City of West Covina, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, are unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes, does hereby order the following improve-
ment to be made:
That all of those certain portions of those certain public
streets in Tract No. 16755 in the said City of West Covina, herein -
above more particularly described, be and the same are hereby va-
cated and abandoned for street purposes, as contemplated by Reso-
lution of Intention No. 318, adopted and approved on February 27,
1952.

SECTION 2. That said work is for the closing up, vacation and
abandonment of the streets or portions of streets described in
Section 1 hereof and it appears to said City Council that there are
no damages, costs or expenses arising out of said work, and that
no assessment is necessary for said work, and therefore no commis-
sioners are appointed to assess the costs or damages for said work
or to have supervision thereof.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be posted with
the names of the members voting for and against the same in three
places within the city, and thirty (30) days from and after the
final passage thereof said Ordinance shall take effect and be in -
force in the manner required by the laws and ordinances of the City

1 HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of West Covina
on the 23rd day of April, 1952, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to wit:
