Ordinance - 215ORDINANCE NO. 215 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA ESTABLISHING THE TAX RATE AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT REQUIRED TO PAY THE COST AND EXPENSE OF MAINTAINING SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1951-1952. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE; CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; SECTION 1. That it is hereby determined and declared that the sum of $32, 287.32: will be required to pay the cost and expense of maintain- .ing the City of West Covina during, the fiscal year 1951-1952.. SECTION 2. That in order to raise the aforesaid sum there shall be and is hereby levied on each $100.00 of taxable property in said city of West Covina a tax of FORTY-FIVE CENTS ($.45), for all municipal purposes: and to pay the bonded indebtedness of said City and interest thereon for 0 the fiscal year 1951-.1952, as follows: For the General Fund, Thirty-five cents ($.35) For the Improvement Bond, Election 1951., Interest and Sinking Fund, Ten Centa ($.10), SECTION 3. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles be and it is hereby requested to levy a tax for the fiscal year 1951-1952 upon all property in the City of West Covina at the rate here- inbefore set forth, for the purpose of paying the cost and expense of ofmaintaining the said City during said fiscal year. SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of West Covina shall im- mediately after the adoption of this ordinance transmit to the County Auditor of the County of Los Angeles, State of California,: a statement of such tax rates herein fixed, as provided b y law. ECTION 5.. The City Clerk of the City of West Covina shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and the same shall be posted as provided by law. This Ordinance, inasmuch as it provides for a tax levy for the usual current expenses of the City of West Covina, under the provisions of Section 1' of Article IV of the Constitution, and the provisions of i • Section 3693.7 of the Government Code, of the State of California, shall take effect immediately.
