AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION T09 INCORPORATING
IN AND MAKING APART OF SAID CITY OF WEST
COVINA CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY OUTSIDE
OF SAID CITY AND CONTIGUOUS THERETO, KNOWN AS
"WEST COVINA ANNEXATION NO. 105.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina
did on the 24th day of January, 1951, receive a verified
written petition signed by not less than one-fourth of the
owners of the area of land representing not less than one-
fourth of the assessed value of such territory according to
the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the County
of Los Angeles,' and,
WHEREAS, the City Council did at a regular meeting
held on the 24th day of January, 1951, adopt a resolution
giving notice of such proposed annexation, which resolution
specifically described the boundaries of the territory so
• proposed to be annexed to the City of West Covina, desig-
nating the same as '"West Covina .Annexation No. 105"; and,
WHEREAS, said Resolution was duly published accord-
ing to law, by posting a copy of the said Resolution in
three conspicuous places in the said territory, giving
notice of the day and hour and place when and where any
person owning real property within said territory so pro-
posed to be annexed and having any objections to the pro-
posed annexation, might appear before the City Council of
the City of West Covina and show cause why such territory
should not be annexed; ands
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West
Covina set the date of such hearing not less than fifteen
nor more than forty days from the date of the passage of
such Resolution, to -wit: the 14th day of February, 1951;
and,
WHEREAS, on the 14th day of February, 1951, said
matter duly came before the City Council of the City of
West Covina for hearing, and no persons filed against the
proposed annexation,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of V!est
Covina do ordain as follows:
Section 1: That the annexation to the said City of
West Covina of the territory hereinafter described, the
description of which is set forth in the verified written

petition to the City of West Covina dated the 24th day
of January, 1951, and designated in the Resolution and
notice of said City Council as !Nest Covina Annexation
No. 105, be and the same is, hereby annexed to, incor-
porated in and made a part of the City of ,,Test Covina.
Section 2: That the territory hereinbefore referred
to and which is hereby annexed to, made a part of, and
incorporated in the City of West Covina, is more particularly
described as follows:
Lot 19, Tract 930, situated in the County
of Los Angeles., State of California, as
per map recorded in Book 17, pages 38 and
39 of Maps in the office of the Recorder..

Section 3:. This ordinance shall take effect thirty
days after the date of its adoption, and prior to the
expiration of fifteen days from the passage thereof shall
be posted with the names of the members voting for and
against the same, in, three places within the city, .in the
mannjer required by the laws and ordinances of he City
of West Covina.

in said City, to -wit: One at the City Hall, 1444 West
Garvey ;Avenue, one in front of the hest Covina School
House, and one at the Northwest corner of Puente Street
and Lark Ellen Avenue.
