AN ORDINANCE AlVMNDING ORDINANCE NO. 36 TO EXTEND
THE FRANCHISE AREA OF THE: AZUSA IRRIGATING COMPANY.
The City Council. of the City of West Covina does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No., 36 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
The right, privilege and franchise is hereby
granted to the Azusa Irrigating Company, a Corporation,
to construct, and for a period of forty (40) years
after the granting of such franchise, to maintain
and operate a system of pipe lines for the trans-
podtaiiom and distribution of water under, along and
across any and all public streets in the City of West
Covina, State of California, within the following
,described territory:
Area A: On Arroyo Avenue from Orange Avenue
to Lark Ellen Avenue;
On workman Avenue from Vincent Avenue
to Lark Ellen Avenue;
On Rowland Avenue f rom Vincent Avenue
to Lark Ellen Avenue;,
On Puente ,Avenue from Irwindale Avenue
to Lark Ellen Avenue;
On Covina. Boulevard from Azusa Canyon
Road to Orange Avenue;
On Orange Avenue from Arroyo Avenue to
Covina Boulevard;
On Irwindale Avenue from Arroyo Avenue
to North City Limits, 'Nest Covina.
On Vincent Avenue from Arroyo Avenue to
North City Limits, West Covina;
On Lark Ellen Avenue from Arroyo Avenue
to North City Limits, ;Ale st Covina.
Area B: All portions of the City of West
Covina not heretofore set forth in Area iA
together with any annexations or additions to
the City of West Ccvina,
and any additions thereto hereafter approved by the
governing body of said City of West Covina; so as to
afford an adequate supply for domestic, public
manufacturing, protection against fire and other
purposes, and also the franchise, right and privilege
of selling and disposing of water and the use thereof
to the said City of West Covina and the inhabitants
thereof.

The period of forty years as hereinbefore
set forth shall be determined and shall
begin from the period of the granting of
the franchise: as set forth in Ordinance
#36 of the City of West Covina.
SECTION 2... This ordinance shall be posted in
three places in the City of West Covina and shall
go into effect and be in force one month after
its final passage and posting..
