AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MST COVINA ESTABLISHING
THE TAX RATE FOR THE YEAR 1950--1951..
The City Council of the City of West Covina does,
ordain as follows:
1. That it is hereby declared and determined that
the sum of $20,864'.00 will be required to pay the
cost and expense of maintaining 'the City of West Covina
during the fiscal year 1950-1951..
2. That in order to raise the aforesaid sum there
shall be and is hereby levied on each $100.00 of
taxable property in said City of West Covina, a tax
of thirty-five (35) cents,
3. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Los Angeles be and it is hereby requested to levy
a tax for the fiscal year 1950-1951 upon all property
in the City of West Covina at the rate hereinbefore
set forth for the purpose of paying the cost and
expense of maintaining the said city during the
said fiscal year.
4. The City Clerk of the City of West Covina shall
certify to the passage of this Ordinance and the
same shall be posted as provided by law.

I, C.C. Toland, City Clerk of the City of Nest
Covina, hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance
was adopted by the City Council of the City of 'Nest
Covina at the regular meeting of said Board on the
21rd day of August 1950, and signed by
the Mayor of said City, and that said ordinance was
adopted by the following votes::
AYES:: Delay, Flotten,Hurst and Mossberg

deposes _and says: That he is the City Clerk for
the City of West Covina, California, and a citizen
of the United States, and over the age of 21 years;
that on the 25th day of August 1950,
he posted three copies of Ordinance #198 of the City
• of Vest Covina entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF 1041EST COVINA ESTABLISHING THE TAX RATE FOR THE
YEAR 1950-1951_" in three public places in said City
to wit: One at the Police Office, #2133 'Nest Garvey
Boulevard, one in front of the Nest Covina School
House, and one at the Northwest corner of Puente
Street and Lark Ellen Boulevard
