ESTABLISHING ZONES IN THE CITY OF 7,iEST COVINA AND THEREIN
REGULATING THE USE OF LAND, FIGHT OF BUILDINGS ;AND YARD
SPACES: ADOPTING A IViAP SHOWING THE BOUTIDARIES OF SAID ZONES::
DEFINING THE TERMS USED IN THIS ORDINANCE, PROVIDING FOR ITS
ADJUSTMENT, ,AThENDt.?ENT AND ENFORCEMENT:: PRESCRIBING PENALTIES
FOR VIOLATIONS AND REPEALING ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT THERENITH," BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION
TO BE INMU IBERED SECTION 3 (e )..
• ' '^ The City Council of the City of West Covina do ordain as
follows:.
SECTION 1.:: Ordinance #147 entitled "An Ordinance establishing
Zones in the City of vilest Covina, and therein regulating the use
of Land, height of buildings and yard spaces.* adopting a Map
showing the boundaries of said Zones:: Defining the terms used
in this Ordinance:: Providing for its adjustment, amendment
• and enforcement: prescribing penalties for violations and
repealing ordinances or portions of ordinances in conflict
therewith," is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section
to be numbered 3 (e) .
SECTION 3 (e ): Any property annexed to or
consolidated with the City of West Covina shall be
deemed to be classified as "R-1" and with 20,000
square feet minimum aregrequirement unless concurrently
with the annexation or consolidation of such property
with the City of Vilest Covina; or within a period of
30 days after said annexation or consolidation shall
become final. the. City Council. shall by ordinance
fix the zone classification and/or -- the minimum square
feet area requirement..
_ _SECTION 2: This ordinance shall take effect from and after
thirty days (30) after its passage and before the expiration
of f if teen (15 ) d ays after its passage it shall be posted
with the names of the members voting for and against the same
in three places within the city, in the manner requirecP by
and nrdinances of the City of ,Jest Covina..
