AN ORDINANCE AYENDING SECTION 3.1 OF ORDINANCE

The City Council of the City of 'Nest Covina do ordain as
follows:
Section 1: Section 3.1 of Ordinance No.. 147, entitled
"AN ORDINANCE .ESTABLISHING ZONES IN TIIE CITY OF 4IIEST COVINA,
AIND =—REIN REGULATING TIE USE OF LAND, HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS,
AND YARD SPACES: ADOPTING A MAP SHO`"LING THE BOUNDARIES OF
SAID ZOI\IES : DEFINING THE TERr:S USED IN THIS ORDINANCE: PRO-
VIDING FOR ITS ADJUSTI!'TENT, Aii'IFND7`'ENT AND ENFORCEMEI1T: PRESS
BRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS, AND REPEALII,TG ORDINANCES
OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREIRITH", Adopted
January 21, 1948, is hereby amended by adding thereto, as
a part of the Zoning ?trap of the City of West Covina, Sub-
section (h) of Section 3.1, to read as follows:
3.1 Changes in the boundaries and classifications of
the Zoning I.rap of the City of -est Covina:

(h) Each respective portion of the territory shown
on the map hereinafter in this subsection set forth be, and
the same is, hereby excepted from the particular zone in
which such respective portion thereof has otherwise been
placed and designated by the provisions of this section,
and each such respective portion of said territory is ere -
by placed in and granted a variance for C--1 uses upon the
following conditions:
(1) That a automobile or vehicle parking area of 4000
square feet be provided on the respective territory herein
designated,
(2) Said automobile parking area be paved or otherwise
surfaced to eliminate dust,
(3) That a six foot solid wall or fence shall be erect-
ed along the side or rear lot lines on such lot lines where

the automobile' parking area shall abutt upon property class-

provided, that no such portion of such territory shall be
deemed to be so excepted from any such zone unless a zone
designation is placed within the boundaries of such terri-
tory as shown on said map.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after the date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration
of fifteen days from the passage hereof shall be published
once in the 'Nest Covina Tribune, a newspaper printed and pub-
lished in the City of '.Nest Covina, County of Los Angeles,
State of California.

ally adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting of
said Council held on the 24th day of August , �949•.
