AN ORDINANCE AP:IENDING SECTION 3.1 OF ORDINANCE NO.147
CHANGING THE ZONING 11AP OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA
The City Council of the City of West Covina do ordain as
follows:
Section 1. Section 3.1 of Ordinance No. 147, entitled
"AN OT�DINANCE ESTABLISHING ZONES IN THE CITY OF ICIEST COVINA,
AND THEREIN REGULATING THE USE OF LAND, HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS,
AND YARD SPACES: ADOPTING A MAP SHO`JUING THE BOUNDARIES OF
SAID ZONES: DEFINING THE TERMS USED IN THIS ORDINANCE: FRO+•
• VIDING FOR ITS ADJUST1v7ENT, AMENDMENT AND ENFORCEMENT: PRE-
SCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS, ARID REPEALING ORDINANCES
OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", Adopted
January 219 1948, is hereby amended by adding thereto, as a
part of the ,Zoning Map of the City of West Covina, Subsection
(t) of Section 3.1, to read as follows;
3.1 Changes in the boundaries and classifications of
the Zoning Map of the City of West Covina:
(a) Each respective portion of the territory shown on
the map hereinafter set forth in this subsection -be, and the
same is, hereby excepted from the particular zone in which
such respective portion thereof has otherwise been placed and
designated as the particular zone hereinafter shown on said
map; provided, that no such portion of such territory shall
be deemed to be so excepted from any such zone unless a zone
designation is placed within the boundaries of such portion
of such territory as shown on said map. Provided further,
that on any 'portion of the territory shown on said map desig-
nated as R-2 there shall be erected thereon only Church build—
ings and there shall be a public parking area as designated
on the plot plan submitted to the Planning Commission of the
City of West Covina and provided further;that where the said
• parking area abutts upon property zoned as "R-1 or R-2" there
shall be erected a solid wall or fence six feet high.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after the date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration of
fifteen days from the passage hereof shall be published once
in the r"Test Covina Tribune, a newspaper printed and published
in the City of 'Vest Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of
California
