Ali ORDINANCE ATENDING SECTION 3.1 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 147 CHANGING TIDE ZONING 211AP OF THE CITY OF
VIMT COVINA
The City Council of the City of idlest Covina do ordain as
follows:
Section 1, Section 3.1 of Ordinance No. 147, entitled
"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ZOIMS IN THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
AND THEREIN REGULATING THE USE OF LAM, -HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS,
AND YARD SPACES; ADOPTING A 11AP .SHU11ING THE BOUNDARIES OF
SAID ZONES; DEFINING THE TERMS USED IN THIS ORDINANCE; PRO-
VIDING FOR ITS ADJUSTLMTuT, ANJENDMEM AND E1IFORCEIMENT; PRE-
SCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS, AND REPEALING -ORDINANCES
OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", Adopted
January 21, 1948, is hereby amended by adding thereto, as a
part of the Zoning Map of the City of West Covina,. Subsection
( d ) of Section 3.1, to read as follows :
3.1 Changes in the boundaries and classifications of
the Zoning Map of the City of West Covina:
(a) Each respective portion of the territory shown
on the maps hereinafter set forth in this subsection be, and
the same is, hereby excepted from the particular zone in which
such respective portion thereof has otherwise been placed and
designated by the provisions of this Ordinance, and each such
respective portion of said territory is hereby placed -in and
designated as the particular zone hereinafter shown on said
maps; provided, that no such portion of such territory shall
be deemed to be so -excepted from any such zone unless a zone
designation is placed within the boundaries of such portion
of such territory as shown on said maps. Provided further,
that on any portion of the territory shown on said maps desig-
nated as R-3-there shall be erected only multiple family dwell-
ings thereon, not exceeding one story in height; and that there
shall be at least two parking spaces on the same lot with the
main building for each dwelling unit and such parking space
46 shall be not less than eight (8) feet wide and twenty (20)
feet long, with adequate provisions for ingressand egress; and
no other uses as provided in'this Section.shall be made of any
such portion hereby excepted.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after the date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration of
fifteen days from the passage hereof shall be published once
in the 'Nest Covina Tribune; a newspaper printed and published
in the City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of
California.
