AN ORDINANCE A11EMING SECTION 3.1 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 147 CHANGING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA
The City Council of the City of West Covina do ordain as
follows:
Section 1: Section 3.1 of Ordinance No. 147, entitled
'AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHIhG ZONES IN THE CITY OF VEST COVINA,
.AIM THEREIN REGULATING . TI1E USE OF LAND, FIGHT OF BUILDINGS,
AI,-jD YARD SPACES:- ADOPTING A YiAP -SHOWING THE BOUIMARIES . OF SAID
ZONES: -DEFINING THE TERLB USED IN THIS ORDINANCE: PROVIDING. FOR ITS ADJUSTEENT , AI,11;I,`D1iE1,1T ATMs ETIFORCEL+MNT : PRESCRIBING
PENALTIES -FOR. VIOLATIONS, AID REPEALING ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS
OF ORDI11ANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH!',, adopted January 21, . 1948,
is hereby amended by -adding thereto, as a part.of the Zoning
Llap of_the City of West Covina, Subsection (e) of Section 3.1,
to read as follows:
3.1 Changes in the boundaries and classifications of
the Zoning Lap of the City of West Covina:
(e) Each respective portion of the territory shown
on the map hereinafter in this subsection set forth be, and
the same is, hereby excepted from the particular zone in which
such respective portion thereof has otherwise been placed and
designated by the provisions of this section, and each such re-
spective portion of said territory is hereby placed in and desig-
nated as the particular zone hereinafter shown on said map; pro-
vided, that no such portion of such territory shall be deemed to
be so excepted from any such zone unless a zone designation is
placed within the boundaries of such territory as shown on said map.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after the date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration of
fifteen days from the passage hereof shall be published once
in the West Covina Tribune, a newspaper printed and published
in the City of West.Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of
California. _
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the %y 4 day of November, 1948, and finally
adopted and ordered pubIi Fled at regular meeting of said
