AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST
COV INA ESTABLISHING THE TAX RATE
FOR THE YEAR 1948-1949.

The City Council of the City of West Covina do ordain
as follows:
Section 1, That it is hereby declared and determined
that the sum of $17191177 will be required to pay the cost
and expense of maintaining the City of West Covina during
the fiscal year of 1948-1949.
Section 2. That in order to raise the aforesaid sum
there shall be and is hereby levied on each $100.00 of tax—
able property in said City of West Covina, a tax of thirty—
five (35j) cents,
Section 3. That the Board of Supervision of the County
of Los Angeles bf Pn(i j;t ie hereby requested to levy- a tax
for the fiscal year 1948-1_949 upon all property in the City
of West Covina at the rate hereinbefore set forth for the
Purpose of paying the cost and expense of maintaining the
said City during the - fiscal year.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance
to be published once within fifteen (15) days after its
passage in the West Covina Tribune, a newspaper of general
-circulation published and circulated in said City.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 25th Day of August 1948, and finally
adopted and ordered pull fished at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 1 _ day of 5E ,M zR 1948, by the
following vote:
