ENTITLED "APT ORDINANCE OF TI-TE CITY OF
,WEST COVINA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE
OF CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A BUILDING CODE
TO REGULATE THE CO :STR? CTION, ERECTION,
ENLARGET'IENT, RAZING, ALTERATION, REPAIRING,
RET"OVAL, NAINTENANCE, MOVING, USE AND HEIGHT
OF BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES IN THE SAID CITY

SECTION TO BE NUMBERED SECTION 11.
The City Council of the City of West Covina, State of
California, do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Ordinance Mo. 87, entitled "An Ordinance
of the City of llrest Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, adopting a building code to regulate the construct-
ion, erection, enlargement, razing, alteration, repairing,
removal, maintenance, moving, Lase and height of buildings,
or structures in the said City of `.Vest Covina" is hereby
amended by adding thereto a new section to be numbered
Section l l..
SECTION 11.
(a) Sub -section (c) .of Section 8 of Ordinance No.
150 is hereby repealed.
(b) The following described portion of the City of
West Covina is hereby declared to be, and is created, as a
part of Fire Zone Number Two.
All R-3 Zones as established by "Zoning Tviap of
the City of !'lest Covina", as provided in Section 3 of Ordinance
No. 147 and amendments thereto provided, however, that buildings
and/or structures in the said R-3 Zones shall not be required
to be constructed with vv indows containing glass reinforced
with wire mesh.
(c) The following described portion of the City of
viest Covina is hereby declared to be, and is created, as Fire
Zone Number Two -A.
A19 C-1 Zones as established by "Zoning 11ap of the
City of tgJest Covina", as provided in Section 3 of Ordinance No.
147 and amendments thereto. '
If any section, sub -section, clause or phrase of this
ordinance is, for any reaso-.n, held to be unconstitutional,
such decision shall not affect` tn.e validity of the remaining
portions of this Ordinance.

The Council hereby declares that it vvuuld ,have passed this Ordinance
and each section, sub -section, sentence, clause and phrase thereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more of the sections, sub-
sections, sentences, clauses or phrases might be declared unconsti-
tutional.
