ORDINANCE NO. 140
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.
134 OF THE CITY OF NEST COVINA
The City Council of the City of West Covina do ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 134, entitled, "An Ordinance
amending Ordinance No. 31, entitled 'An Ordinance providing for
the creation in the City of West Covina of Zones consisting of
various districts and prescribing the classes of buildings,
structures and improvements in the said several zones, and uses
thereof' by adding thereto two new sections to be numbered Sec-
tion 2a and Section 31" is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2: That 'WHEREAS the City Council of the City of
UYest Covina is contemplating the adoption of a general zoning
ordinance zoning the entire city of West Covina as soon as pub-
lic hearings can be completed thereon, and

WHEREAS, the creation of zone varitances and the erection
or constructions of buildings or structures contrary thereto
would defeat or seriously injure the ultimate execution of said
plan and the purposes of such proposed ordinance before the same
can be prepared in detail; the City Council of said City there-
fore find and determine that for the immediate preservation of
the public health, .peace, safety,. comfort, convenience, interest,
and we]rare, an emergency exists and this ordinance is enacted
as an emergency measure and ordinance, and that the same -shall
take effect immediately upon the same being posted by the City
Clerk in the manner required by law and by the ordinances of
the City of Pest Covina,

City of West Covina, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 134 OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA", to -wit: one at the police
office, 361 hest Garvey Boulevard, one in front of the West
Covina School House, and one at the northwest corner of Puente
Street and Lark Ellen Boulevard. >
