AN ORDINANCE AlvIENDING ORDINANCE No. 101 ENTITLED "AN
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA ORDERING THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A SETBACK LINE ON STATE HIGHWAY AND
OTHER STREETS OF WEST COVINA."

The City Council of the City of West Covina do ordain
as follows:
SECTION I. Section I of said Ordinance No. 101 is
hereby amended by adding to the last paragraph thereof the
following:
"Provided that where roadways are cut through steep
hillsides or the topography of the ground is such that the
architectural effect sought in the construction of buildings
at such a site would be hindered by the strict'enforcement of
the thirty-five foot setback requirement, then on recommenda-
tion of the Architectural committee in/control of the tract
in which such lot is located or in the absence of such Archi-
tectural Committee then on the recommendation of the Planning
Commission of West Covina and the approval of the City Building
Inspector said setback requirement as to suc*ot may be modi-
fied to meet such conditions.

BY AMENDING SECTION ONE by adding a new paragraph thereto, in
three public places in the said city, to -wit: one at the police
office, 361 West Garvey Blvd., one in front of the West Covina
School House and one at the northwest corner of Puente Street
and Lark Ellen Blvd.
