AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE KEEPING OF HOGS IN THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA: THE CITY COUNCIL OF WEST COVINA DO ORDAIN AS
F OLLOWS
1. It shall be unlawful for any person owning
or controlling less than one acre in area to keep any hog
or pigs on such parcel of land.
2. It shall be unlawful for any person to own
or maintain more than three hogs on any parcel of land,
regardless of size of area, in the City of West Covina,
provided that litters from sows shall not be considered
until they reach the age of vEeaning,:.:as.
3. That any person, firm or Corporation vio-
lating any of the provisions of this Ordinance, shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
• shall be punishable by a fine of not less than 410.00 nor
more than $300.00 or by imprisonment for a period of not
less than two days nor more than three months, or by both
such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, firm or cor-.4•-
poration shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for
each day during any portion of which any violation of any
provision of this ordinance is committed, continued or per-
mitted 'by such person, firm or corporation, and shall be
punishable therefor as provided by this ordinance.
The City Clerk of the City of West Covina shall
certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause the same
to be posted in three public places in the said city within
five days from date of its adoption; and thirty days from
the date of its adoption, this 0tdinance shall be in full
force and effect.

and am a citizen of.the Un4ed States and over the age of twenty-
one years; that an the � day of iviay, 1945, I posted three
copies of Ordinance No. 108 of the City of ]Nest Covina, entitled
"An Ordinance Regulating the Keeping of Hogs in the City of West
Covina", in three public places in said City, to wit: One at
361 Test Garvey, West Covina, the same being the place where the
regular meetings of the City Council -of said City are held, one
on Sunset Avenue in front of West Covina School House, and one at
the Northwest corner of Puente Street and Lark Ellen Bou.1evard.
