AN ORDII;ANCL OF THE CITY OF WEST COV�1..A ORDERIi:G THE .ERADICATION
OF WEED", BRUSH Al ID DEBRIS CONSTITUTING A FIRE HAZARD.
The City Council of the City of WestCovina do ordain
as follows:
Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation to perMit the accumulation of any rubbish or
combustible materials or the growth of any weeds on any lot in
the Cit-- of West Covina that wo�.ld constit,..te a fire hazard or
endanger the lives or r.roperty of any person in said city.
Section 2: `I"he Chi^f of Police of the City of lest
Covina shall give a 30 dad; written notice to any person owning' or
in control of any lot in the City c-f 6'dest Covina on u,;iich lot
any such accurrx:zlati on of rubbish or combustible material is
found or on .,hich the grass or weeds has 'Decode dr-, and inflammable
so as to constitute a fire hazard or endanger the lives or
nrooerty oiQ any person in said city.
,Such person so receiving such notice from tha ' Chief of Police s-lall abate said fire hazard rithin thirty days.
Section 0: That any person firm or corporati n violating
any of tle provisions of his ordinance shall be deemed g'�ilty
of a Misdemeanor and unon conviction thereof shall be -punished
by a fine not exceeding Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) or by
imprison.nent in the city jail or in the county jail of the county
of Los A-ageles, State of California, for a period not exceeding three
mon2-hs, or by both such fine and imprisoriment.
