ORDINANCE No.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A BUILDING CODE
TO REGULATE THE CONSTRUCTION, ERECTION, ENLARGEMENT, RAZ-
ING, ALTERATION, REPAIRING, REMOVAL, MAINTENANCE, MOVING,
USE AND HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES IN THE SAID
CITY OF WEST COVINA.
The City Council of the City of West Covina, does ordain as
follows:
Section 1. The building Code of the County of Los Angeles,
as printed on pages 24 to 301 inclusive in that certain book en-
titled "Los Angeles County Building Laws, 1939 Edition", three
copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
said City of best Covina, is hereby adopted as the Building Code
of the City of Nest Covina,
Section 2, Said Building Code shall regulate the erection,
construction, enlargement, razing, alteration, repairing, removal,
maintenance, moving, use and height of buildings or structures.
Section 3. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, pen-
alties, conditions and terms of said Los Angeles County Building
Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if
fully set forth in this ordinance.
Section 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the ap-
plication thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid,
the remainder of the ordinance and the application of such provis-
ion to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.
Section 5. New Series ordinance No. and all other or-
dinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be posted in.
three public places in the City of Nest Covina as required by City
Ordinance, and thirty days thereafter the same shall take effect
and be in force: __

Covina School House, one at 1843 West State Highway, same being the
