PURPOSE'S FOR THE FISCAL YREAR OF 1929-1930.
The City. Council of ,t,he .City of (lest Covina do ordain as
follows:
Section l: Th .t i s h'eepeby declared and determined that
the sum of jp % �.✓� 0 will be required to pay the
cost and expense of maintaining the City of siest Covina during
the fiscal year 19 29-1930.
Section 2: That in order to raise the aforesaid sum, there
shall be and is hereby levied on each one hundred dollars (-';10O':00)
of taxable property, exclusive of operative property, in the said
City of {test Covina. a tax of _ cents (• G� )
- Section 3 : That the Board of 6upervisors of the County of
Los Angeles be and it is hereby requested to "levy a tax for the
R.c.
fiscal year of 1929-1930 upon all property in the City of `Jest
a
Covina, at the rate hereinbefore set forth, for the purpose of
paying the cost and expense of maintaining the said City during
the said fiscal year.
Section 4: The City Clerk of the Uity of '4est Covina shall
certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be
posted in three public places in the said city.

the City Clerk of the City of ':Zest Covina, and is a citizen of
the United States and over the age of twenty-one years; that on
the 22ndday of August , 1929, he posted three copies oI Or-
dinance IJo. 47 of the City of �Iest Covina:, entitled "An
Ordinance .Fixing the `sax Rate -�'or Municipal Purposes for the Fis-
cal Year of 1929-1930," in three public places in the said city,
to wit, olie at the door of the ':'vest Covina. Club House, the same
being the _dace where the reaulax meetings of the Hoard of trus-
tees of the said city are held, one on Sunset ^venue in front of
the ,Jest Covina School House, and one at she northwest corner of
Puente Street and Lark Ellen .Boulevard.
