AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX RATE FOR MUNICIPAL
PURPOSES F01-1 THE FISCAL YEAR OF 1927=1928.
The City Council of the City of West Covina do
ordain as follows:
If ,
Section 1: That it is hereby declared and determined
that the sum of 0 4-6 5. e �2.--- will be required to pay
the cost and expense of maintaining the City of Test Covina
during the fiscal year 1927-1928.
Section 2: That in\order to raise the aforesaid
SUM., there shall be and is hereby levied on each one hundred
dollars (,.�100.00) of taxable property, exclusive of o erative
property,in the said City of West Covina a tax of
cents (4$ . 4--0 .
Section 3: That the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Los Angeles be and it is hereby requested to levy
a tax for the fiscal year of 1927-1928 upon all property
in the City of West Covina, at the rate hereinbefore set
forth, for the purpose of paying the cost and expense of
• maintaining the said City during the said fiscal year.
Section 4: The City Clerk of the City of West
Covina shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and
cause the same to be posted in three public places in the
said city.

the City Clerk of the City of West Covina a citizen of the United
States, over the age of 21 years, and that on the 29th day of
August, 1927 lie posted three copies of ordinance D,10.35 entitled
11 an ordinance fixing the tax rate for municipal purposes for the
fiscal year of 1927 - 19281, in three public places in the said
city, to -wit: one at the door of the Wiest Covina Club House, where
the meetings of said Council of said City are.held. one on Sunset
Avenue in front of the West Covina` School house and one at the
northwest corner of Puente Street and Lark Ellen Avenue.
