AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE FLOWING
OF VyIATER IN PUBLIC STREETS.
The B&ye`p�l of the City of West Covina
do ordain as follows:
Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person,
firm or.corporation to cause or to permit water to flow from
any private property in the City of West Covina upon or into
any public: street, alley or highway, or into any gutter along
any public street, alley or other public highway in the said
City of West Covina unless such gutter be paved with concrete,
asphaltum or cobblestones. PROVIDED, however, that this ordi-
nance shall not be deemed to apply to storm or flood waters.
Section 2.. Any person, firm or corporation
violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be punishable by a fine of not more than Three Hundred
Dollars (4l 300.00) , or by impirsonment for a period of not more
than three (3) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
