AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN STREETS
TO CONSTITUTE BOULEVARDS.
- The �CR,�d,I�C^^ of the City of West Covina
do ordain as follows:
Section 1: That the following streets and parts of
streets in the City of West Covina are hereby declared to con-
stitute boulevards for the purpose of this ordinance, to wit:
Orange Avenue from the southwesterly boundary of.the said city
to the northerly boundary thereof;
Sunset Avenue from the southwesterly boundary of the said city
to Arroyo Avenue;
California Avenue from the southwesterly boundary of the said
city to Arroyo Avenue;
Glendora Avenue from the southerly boundary of the said city
to Arroyo Avenue;
Walnut Avenue from the southerly boundary of the said City to
Vine Avenue;
Covina Avenue from the southerly boundary to Glendora Avenue;
Lark Ellen Avenue from the southerly boundary of the said City
to the northerly boundary thereof;
Azusa Avenue frogi the southerly boundary of the. said City

to the northerly boundary thereof;
Irwindale Avenue From Arroyo Avenue to the northerly boundary
of the said city;
Vincent Avenue from Arroyo Avenue to the northerly boundary
of said city;,
Puente Avenue from Irwindale Avenue to the easterly boundary of
said city;
Rowland Avenue from Vincent Avenue to the easterly boundary of
said city;
Workman Avenue from the westerly terminus thereto to the easterly
boundary of said city;
• Arroyo Avenue from orange Avenue to the easterly boundary of said
city;
Service Avenue from Sunset Avenue to Glendora Avenue, and
Service Avenue from Glendora Avenue to the easterly boundary
of the said City;
Cameron Avenue from Glendora Avenue to the easterly boundary
of the said city;
Vine:- Avenue from Glendora Avenue to the easterly boundary
of the said city;
Merced Avenue from the westerly boundary of said City to
Glendora Avenue, and Merced Avenue from Glendora Avenue to the
easterly boundary of said city;
Willow Avenue from the southwesterly boundary of the city to
Pacific Avenue.
• Section 2: That it shall be unlawful for the
operator of any vehicle traversing any street intersecting
any such boulevard to fail to stop such vehicle at the place
where said street meets the nearest property line of the boule-
vard, before entering such boulevard, provided the property
line is clearly marked or sign posted as required by this or-
dinance; provided, however, that when the intersection is con-
trolled by a traffic signal, no vehicle shall be stopped as
herein provided when a signal to proceed has been given.
Section 3: The Superintendent of Streets is hereby authorized
and required to place and maintain, or cause to be placed and main-
tained, on each and every street intersecting a boulevard, and at or
near the property line of the boulevard, appropriate signs upon the
street or devices or marks in the roadway, such signs, devices or
marks to bear the word ,Stop", or the words,Boulevard Stop" in such
position and with the letters of a size to be clearly legible for a
distance of fifty (5o) feet along the street intersecting the boule-
vard.
10 Section 4: Any person violating or failing to comply with any of
the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a. misdemeanor a -rid
upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one
hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the County jail for a period
of not exceeding thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and imprison-
ment.

C. D. Wolfinger, being first duly sworn, says: That he is the
City Clerk of the City of 'test Covina a. citizen of the United States
and. over the age of 21 years, and that on the 17th day of August, 1927
he posted three cosies of Ordinance No.32 entitled 11 An ordinance de-
claring certain streets to constitute boulevards it in three public
places in the said City, to -wit: one at the door of the Vvest1 Covina
Club House, where the meetings of said council of said City are held
one on Sunset Avenue in from of the 'best Covina School House and one
at the northwest corner of Puente Street and L Ellen Avenue.
