AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX RATE FOR MUNICIPAL
PURPOSES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OF 1026-1927
The Board of Trustees of the City of Wost Covina do
ordain as follows:
Section l: That it is hereby declared and determined

the cost and expense of maintaining the City of West Covina
during the fiscal year 1926-1927.
Section 2: That in order to raise the aforesaid sum
there shall be and is hereby levied on each one hundred dol-
lars (-�100.00) of taxable property, exclusive of oper ive
property in the said City of West Covina a tax of
cents (. 4-0 ).
Section 3: That the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles be and it is hereby requested to lever a tax
for the fiscal year of 1926-1927 upon all property in the City
of West Covina, at the rate h.ereinbcfore set forth, for the
purpose of paying the cost and expense of maintaining the said.
City during the said fiscal year.
Section 4: The city clerk of the city of West Covina
shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause the
same to be posted in three public places in the said city.

the City Clerk of the City of "Jest Covina, a citizen of the
United States and over the age of 21 years, and that on the
end day of September, 1926, he osted three copies of Ordinance
No, entitled An ordinance fixi the tax rate for municipal
purposes for the fiscal year of 192b - 1927, in three public
places in the said city, to -wit: one at the door of the West
Covina Club Mouse, the same being the place where the regular
meetings of the Board of Trustees of the said city are held, one

on Sunset Avenue in front of the West Covina School House and
one at the northcorner of Puente Street and Lark Ellen
Boulevard.
