Ordinance - 25L ; ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX ATE FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1925-26 • The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina do • ordain as follows: Section 1: That it is hereby declared and determined that the sum of $ U j 0 D will be required to pay the cost and expense of maintaining the City of West .Covina during the fis- cal year 1925-26. Section 2: That in order to raise the aforesaid sum there shall be and is hereby levied -on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of taxable property, exclusive of operative property, in the said City of West Covina, a, tax of cents 0. 3 . Section 3: That the Board. of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles be and it is hereby requested to levy a tax for the fiscal year 1925-26 upon all property in the City of Vilest Covina, at the -rate hereinbefore set forth, for the purpose of paying the cost and expense of maintaining the said city during the said fis- cal year. Section 4: The city clerk of the City of West Covina shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be posted in three public places in the said city. Notary Public in and for the County of Los Angeles, State of California. • E • • RESOLUTION PERMITTING THAT CERTAIN PORTION OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, DESCRIBED BELOW, TO BECOME A PART OF AND BE INCLUDED IN PROPOSED COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NUMBER 7. BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the City of `Jest Covina: 1. Whereas, the need of additional facilities for the dispo- sal of sewage is becoming more acute, and whereas, it is ropo- sed to create a metropolitan sewer district to include is in Los Angeles County, and whereas, we feel it is desirable that such a district be formed to care for the future disposal needs. NOWTHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the City of Nest Covina feels that the best interest of the City of West Covina will be served by the formation of a metro- politan sewer district that will include that portion of the ity of West Covina bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 3, Tract 220, as shown on map recorded in Book 14 page 179 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, said corner Lein in the northerly boundary line of the City of West Covina as �he same existed on April 9, 1925: thence southerly 2931.15 keet along a line parallel with and distant 1040.61 feet easterly, measured at right angles, from the westerly line of Orange Avenue, as shown on map of Eugene Riggin's Subdivision of the Hathaway Tract, as recorded in book 53, ppage 37, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County; thence Noth 87° West, 1o4o.77 feet to the westerly line of said Orange Avenue; thence southerly in a direct line to the northeast cor- ner of -Lot 1, said last mentioned tract; thence westerly to the northwest corner thereof; thence southerl along the westerly line of said Lot 1 to its intersection with the southeasterly line.of Lot 88, E. J.
