AN ORDINANCE EMPOWERING AND D IRE CT ING
THE CITY MARSHAL TO ENFORCE THE PRO-*
VISIONS OF THE STATE HOUSING,ACT.
The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina do
ordain as follows:
Section l: That the city marshal of the City of West
Covina be, and he is hereby, empowered and given authority to
enforce the provisions of the state housing act of the State of
California, to inspect buildings as provided in and as permitted.
and directed by the said ::act,_ and perform such other duties
as shall be necessary for the enforcement Fof .the
said act within the City of Vilest Covina.

at the regular meeting of the said board on the 11th day
of February 1925, and signed by the president of the
said board, and that the said ordinance was adopted by the

is the City C erk of the City of West Covina, is a citizen
of the United States and over the age of twenty-one years;
that on the 14th day of February, 1925, he posted three
copies of Ordinance No.24 of the City of West Covina, entit-
led "An ordinance empowering and directing the City Marshall
to enforce the provisions of the State Housing Act" in three
public places to -wit one at the door of the West Covina
Club Ho�zse, tie same Lein the pplace where the regular meet-
ings of the Board of Trus ees of the said City are held, oee
on Sunset Avenue in.front of the West Covina School House and
one at the northwest corner of Puente Avenue and Lark Ellen
Boulevard.
