AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE OFFICE OF CITY
ATTORNEY AND PROVIDING FOR HIS DUTIES AND
CO MPEDt SAT ION .
The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina
do ordain as follows:
Section 1: That the office of CITY ATTORNEY be and
the same is hereby created.
Section S: That the City Attorney shall be appointed
by resolution of the board of trustees, and shall serve during
the pleasure of the said board.
Section 3: That the City Attorney shall perform such
services as are now or may hereafter be required by law; he
shall prepare such contracts, ordinances, and other documents
as shall be required by the board of trustees.
Section 4: That the City Attorney shall receive for
this services the .sum of 165�' per month, provided, however,
that in the event that it shall become necessary for the City
•' Attorney to prosecute or to defend any action in court on behalf
of the said city, or, on behalf of any officer or officers thereof,
he shall be paid in addition to his salary such sum as shall be
agreed upon between the board of trustees and the said City Attorney.
