Ordinance - 31 ORDINANCE NO. 3. AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE PENAL SUMS OF BONDS OF CERTAIN OFFICERS. The Board of Trustees of the City of Vest Covina • do ordain as follows: Section 1: That the City Clerk, the City Treasurer and the City Marshal be and they are hereby required to execute bonds to the City of West Covina in the penal sums respectively hereinafter set forth, to wit: The CITY CLERK,and as EX-OFFICIO CITY ASSESSOR, in the penal sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00); The CITY TREASURER in the penal sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00); The CITY MARSHAL, and as EX-+OFFI C I+O TAX and LICENSE COLLECTOR, in the penal sum of one thousand ,do lla.rs ( 19000.00). Section 2: That all bonds required or that shall be required to be executed on behalf of any officer of the said city shall be executed by a surety company that is authorized to do business in the State of California, and that the premium on all such bonds shall be a charge against and shall be paid by the said City of West Covina. Section 3: That all officers of the said city be and they are hereby required to submit their respective bonds for the first year to the board of trustees for approval within five (5) days after the passage of this ordinance, and for all succeeding years at the first regular meeting of the said board after the election of such officers.
