Ordinance - 10y' 4 ORDINANCE NO.10. AN ORDINANCE FORBIDDING THE OBSTRUCTION OF STREETS. The Board of Trustees of the City of West Covina do ordain as follows; Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to deposit or maintain, or to cause or to permit to be deposited or maintained, any material, debris or other substance in or upon any public street, alley or other public place in such manner or at such place as to obstruct traffic in such public street, alley or other public place, or in such manner, or at such place, as to prevent the free and uninterrupted passage of vehicles along such street, alley or other public place. Section 2: It shall be unlawful for any, person, firm • or corporation depositing or maintaining,.or causing to be deposited, or to be maintained, any material, debris or other • substance within the lines of any public street, alley or other public place, to fail, refuse or neglect to place and maintain a redlight at each end of each pile of such material, debris or other substance from sunset of each day until sunrise of the following day. Section 3: That any person, firm or corporation violat- ing any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than three hundred dollars ($300.00), or by imprisonment for a period of not less than two (2) days nor- more than three (3) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day during any portion of which any violation of any • provision of this ordinance is committed, continued or permitted _ by such peron, firm or corporation, and shall be punishable therefor as provided. by this ordinance. 22ZGiXZiyr , President of the Board of Trustees of the?City of Nest Covina.
